Thank you so much for your prayers for the work over the last month.  Give thanks for The Noise which took place at the Gatehouse in the centre of town over the Easter holidays.  Nearly 60 young people and their leaders from 14 different churches came together for three days of social action projects.  Give thanks for the support of the local councillors, for the young people we met through the football panna cage, for the many local residents who noticed the difference the young people made and for the many opportunities they had to share their faith.  On the Sunday evening they met to celebrate the week – give thanks for the young people who planned and ran the whole evening.

Please pray for Unite on Sunday when when we will gather for messy prayer and games.  Young people are under a lot of pressure with exams at the moment – pray that they would put their relationship with Jesus first.

Give thanks for the opportunity to run a term’s trial Connect mentoring in St Gregs this term.  Please pray for the mentors as they meet with students and for good communication between the school and Connect.

Give thanks for the work that Berti does in schools and colleges sharing his faith.  Praise God for the young person who came to Christ before Christmas through this work.  He has been baptised in a local church and has joined the worship band. Pray for two other young men that Berti is mentoring.  Please pray for plans we have to gather some of these young people for a life skills course.  This will provide imaginative ways to develop and recognise their achievements and help build positive character traits.

Praise God that the Showfields Easter Family Day was a fantastic success; You can read all about it here.

We would love you to join us at our Pray for School Event on Tuesday 21st May at Church of Christ at 7:30pm.

Finally please pray for us all in our day to day work for Tunbridge Wells Youth for Christ.  Some of it may seem very mundane – applying for grants, answering emails, going to meetings, spending time at the drop-in cafe or meeting a young person for a catch-up.  Please pray that everything we do we would do it for the Lord and that we would be encouraged to keep going.   When we hear of young people who have given their lives to Jesus growing and serving him we know it is all worthwhile.
