We are having a very busy November both in The Youth Centre and in schools and clubs.
Lesley and the young people designed and made a “Streets of Light” window which became part of a national trail and attracted passers-by to look in.
New young people have visited The Youth Centre and enjoyed spending time playing games, eating cake and chatting.
We have bought several new games which have proved very popular. The young people love explaining how they work to the volunteers.
November’s Unite Youth had 70 young people gathered for games, workshops and time together. We were especially pleased that two young people from The Youth Centre hosted the evening, a teenager from St Matts Ignite club lead a dance workshop and several of them did a music workshop and lead worship for everyone.
The Rock Solid club at Skinners Kent Academy has started well. Karen and Lesley are engaging students with prayer and craft activities as they go to lunch. We are delighted to have been given a strategic classroom and have a supportive teacher encouraging students to make contact.
Berti continues to engage with young people through the popular Ignite club at St Matts, the Christian Union and chaplaincy work at Skinners and mentoring at Temple Grove.
In December we will be running a Christmas prayer space in St Greggs once the logistical issues get sorted.
