Occasionally we sit down with a member of the Tunbridge Wells Youth for Christ team in order to find out a bit more about them. This month we meet Kay, our voluntary administrator

Who are you and what is your role at Tunbridge Wells Youth for Christ?

I’m Kay, married to Roger, and I have 3 grown up children.  I have been an administrator and trustee of Tunbridge Wells Youth for Christ for many years.  I normally work in the office three mornings a week.

How did you first become involved with Tunbridge Wells Youth for Christ?

I had been a voluntary youth leader for a long time in my local church.  I wanted to take a more background role – enabling youth workers to do their job seemed ideal.

What has been one of the highlights of your role?

The highlights are the times that actually spend time with young people.  I have been privileged to be involved in Unite and catering for residentials.

What are the greatest joys of your role?

I love spending time praying for the work with other youth workers.  The greatest joy is seeing God answer prayer and seeing young people’s lives changed by Jesus.

How can we pray for you?

Please pray for me as I work from home at the moment.  It is hard to keep connected with the work.

Please tell us a fun fact about yourself!

I am originally from Northern Ireland and I love to visit when I can.
