We are delighted to say that we came second in the Tesco’s community grant scheme.
Thank you to all of you who kindly put blue tokens in our section – we have been awarded £1000 for The Youth Centre. We have already bought another toaster, some more x-box games and some baking equipment.
We continue to see lots of young people every day at The Youth Centre. We give out toast to hungry students walking home from school engaging them more and more in conversation.
Berti sees many of them at school at Skinners in the playground or at Christian Union. HIs outreach group at St Matts is growing with the support of church volunteers.
This Saturday we are holding our Quiz night. Bookings close on Wednesday so hurry if you want to come.
We are running a prayer space at St Greg’s again from 20th – 24th March. Our staff and volunteers are delighted to be able to spend time with the young people sharing the Easter story.
Our annual social action project takes place the week before Easter. We are in Southborough this time serving the community there.
