Exams season is nearly over and our Duke of Edinburgh volunteers have nearly completed their time with us. We are very grateful for their support in The Youth Centre serving refreshments, buttering toast and washing up.
Lesley has updated our windows with a summer theme and we have some new activities on offer. We have just joined the FareShare network which means that we will be able to pick up unsold bread and fruit from our local Tescos on a Monday evening.
We are delighted to welcome Hannah to our staff team. Hannah is our new Schools Lead looking to expand our work in local schools. She is excited to help share her faith with the younger generation. She attends Christ Church Tunbridge Wells where she volunteers with the children’s team. Hannah loves theatre, and is a producer when not working at Youth For Christ. Her favourite place to be is on an adventure with her puppy Milo!
Unite in June is all about mission. Steve McVeigh will be encouraging the young people to share their faith and we will have workshops around the theme.
Later in June young people will have the chance to go deeper into mission.
Lesley will help them to learn how to share their faith story with friends.
The team are off to British Youth for Christ Focus day on 17th June. It will be key opportunity for them to gather with other Youth for Christ Centres to worship, pray, hear ministry updates and hold discussions.
