Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for mankind.

and tell of his works with songs of joy.
Praise God that the Youth Centre is up and running and young people are dropping in on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. We were almost full last Thursday and are beginning to build relationships and get to know them. We have met 35 different young people through the centre – they are bringing friends and following us on Instagram.
Our plan is to open every afternoon after school in September – please pray for other volunteers to enable us to do that. One section of the centre will be a prayer space and Berti is already using the centre for his mentoring. He has taken on two new young adults – please pray for these sessions.
Berti is taking a group of lads from Showfields to two football tournaments; one on 26th June, the second on 3rd July. One of the tournaments is organised by Ambassadors Football and includes an opportunity to hear the gospel. Please pray for safety and openness to the gospel.
Berti is going to Temple Grove Academy every Wednesday lunchtime. He spends the first hour on the playground with year 6, being present and available to all. The next hour is spent mentoring 3 year 6 children who need help with English or behavioural issues. Please pray for these relationships – year 6 love coming to chat with him.
We look forward to welcoming you into our centre to look around. We are planning a supporters week from 23rd – 27th August. During that week the Bishop of Tonbridge will officially open the centre. We will send out details in the next prayer letter.
As you can imagine running the centre is not cheap. The money we raised last summer to open the centre is nearly all used so we are planning a new fundraising event on 4th September. Miles from home is a National Youth for Christ initiative and we are walking the 27.5 Tunbridge Wells Circular walk. We would like to raise £10,000 to run the centre in the new academic year.
