This year has flown by, and it’s hard to believe December – and the countdown to Christmas – is already here! It’s a season of hope, joy, and reflecting on God’s goodness. Please pray that we walk in His will and wisdom, blessing every young person we meet as we prepare to celebrate Jesus’ birth.

During the Hallowen week we handed out 300 sweets – each with a Bible verse – to the young people passing by. As our colleagues were sharing these, hearts began to appear on the wall opposite, which felt like a sure sign we were doing the right thing. There was so much engagement with the young people, and we pray that their hearts were touched by Jesus.

After Hours Group

We had a great time exploring creation on Thursday night in our After Hours group! The young people got creative with play dough, making some of their favourite things – from giraffes to the Earth and the Sun. 🌍🦒☀️ It was wonderful to be reminded of the incredible variety of life that God has made. 💫

November at the Youth Centre

This November at the Youth Centre has been full of meaningful conversations and opportunities for our young people to grow in their faith. Together, we’ve explored what it means to be brave through Joshua 1:9, how to shine God’s light in our everyday lives from John 8:12, and the incredible gift of grace in Ephesians 2:8–9.

We also talked about justice through Proverbs 31:8–9, thinking about unfairness in the world and how we can stand up for others. Lastly, we reflected on faith and trust, and the hope of healing found in the message of Isaiah 57:18. It’s been inspiring to see how all these themes connect – shaping us into people of courage, light, grace, justice, trust, and hope. If you haven’t dropped in yet this half term, we’d love to welcome you!

One: United in Faith ~ 9th November 2025

On Sunday, 9th November 2025, TWYFC had the privilege of hosting the third “One: United in Faith” event in support of the Tonbridge churches – and what an incredible evening it was! 🙌  We welcomed 43 young people from three different churches, and the night was full of creativity, fun, and meaningful moments. 🎨✨

They enjoyed games, chatting, and creative activities – from edible art to firework and icing designs – before gathering for worship and reflective prayer spaces. We ended with two recent school leavers sharing how prayer has shaped their lives and the answers they’ve seen. It was a wonderful blessing, and we’re so grateful for your prayers!

11th November 2025 ~ Remembrance Day

At the Youth Centre, our community came together to remember and honour the brave individuals who gave their lives for our freedom. We took time to pause, reflect, and appreciate their courage and sacrifice.

14th November 2025 ~ Unite Youth

Earlier this month 35 young people joined us for an action-packed Unite Youth night! We kicked things off with a team challenge to find items representing the Armour of God and dress up their leaders.

Our guest speaker, Emily Edwards, shared a brilliant message on the Armour of God, complete with Lesley modelling each piece and J & M (two of our young people) closed it out with a fun Christian vs. the Devil inflatable battle!

We also enjoyed the usual favourites: football, crafts, games, and plenty of pizza. Missed out? Join us for the next Unite Youth on 12th December 2025!

“Ask Me Anything” session ~ Skinners’ Boys Grammar School CU

Last week we hosted an “Ask Me Anything” session at Skinners’ Boys Grammar school with Youth Minister Jamie Roddy and Rev Rob Byrne, and it was brilliant. Twenty-six students attended and asked a huge range of questions – from “How do you pray?” to “But wasn’t evolution a thing?!” The discussion was lively, thoughtful, and thoroughly enjoyable. Keep your eyes peeled for more events happening across Tunbridge Wells soon.
