As we approach Christmas we are very busy at Tunbridge Wells Youth for Christ with special activities in and out of the centre.
We were delighted to be able to give gifts to the young adults in the two hostels in Tunbridge Wells. We are still fundraising for this so if you would like to give please donate at https://www.stewardship.org.uk/pages/christmastwyfc.
The young people in the Youth Centre helped wrap the gifts and deliver them.
We have also been making Christmas crafts and designing a Christmas window.
The young people have been enjoying all the activities and it has given us a
great opportunity to talk about Christmas.
We ran a prayer space at St Gregs every lunchtime for a week. We did not see very many young people but those who came engaged with the activities and we will use some of them in the centre.
Berti has been busy at North Kent College and Temple Grove. He set up a prayer tree at the College and had great opportunity to chat with the young people there.
We are running two special events during the first week of the Christmas holidays. On Monday and Tuesday we have the 12 Revelations of Christmas – an augmented reality Bible Journey and on Wednesday a Nativity Escape Room.
The team are off to the Youth for Christ Conference in Blackpool the first week in January so we will be back in the Youth Centre on 10th January.
