Before Easter we spent three days with 47 different young people and 15 different youth leaders from 9 churches across the town and beyond at The Noise 2023.

Every day we had around 30 young people serving the local community by litter picking, gardening, playing giant games at The Hub in Southborough, running a drop in youth café, helping at the community larder, clearing the St Peter’s church grounds, carrying out a survey on the common and more.  We also spent time learning how to worship God in lots of different ways, asking big questions and exploring the meaning of life.  Various youth leaders shared their testimonies and the young people led worship one evening.

On the final evening Albert, from Tunbridge Wells Christian Fellowship, came to speak and 13 young people responded to the gospel.

We are very grateful to Christ Church Southborough for hosting us and preparing lunch for us every day. The church made us so welcome and it was great to support them in the community work they are already doing

As part of the Noise we looked together at some of the Youth Alpha resources exploring big questions.
As a follow-up we are running a Youth Alpha course at The Youth Centre starting on Wednesday.
The course is open to any young person – not just those who attended The Noise.

The centre opens up again on Monday 17th April.
Once again we are very grateful for donations of cakes and cookies and will be outside giving out toast to hungry young people as they walk down from school.
