As the trustees met for prayer last Monday we spent time giving thanks for all God’s blessings on us at Tunbridge Wells Youth for Christ.

We praise God for

  • All the young people we meet with to mentor, to disciple and to share the gospel with.
  • The young man who came into Unite last month and joined in all the prayer activities while live streaming to his friends.
  • The encouraging meetings Lydia has had with local clergy and for the local youth workers who meet regularly for prayer.
  • The young man who came to faith and is now sharing his faith with others and wants Berti’s support.
  • Our amazing staff team and trustees.

Give thanks for the Pray for Schools event. It was hosted by Church of Christ and run in partnership with High Hopes, Cross Teach, Life & Soul and Empathy Action. We focused on what we believe about ourselves (e.g. I am tired / I am not enough) and then used scripture to pray over truth – (You are loved / You are chosen etc.)

Please pray for Unite on 16th June when Crossteach will lead an interactive experience The Case of the Empty Tomb.
The famous detectives Shamrock Hermes and his sidekick Dr Watkins are stumped by a case they just can’t seem to solve. A man has disappeared from his tomb! They need help looking at the evidence and then deciding what really happened.

Pray that young people would bring their questioning friends and that all would leave with a better understanding of the resurrection.

Please pray for two opportunities we have to visit St Gregs School. On 14th June Berti is taking a lesson on developing faith and on 28th June a group of youth workers are helping at a retreat day organised by the chaplain and Tunbridge Wells Youth for Christ.  Please pray for both days and for ongoing good relationships with the school.

Please pray as people consider the Year Out with Youth for Christ – pray that some students would choose Tunbridge Wells as their placement.

Please pray for our on-going financial situation.  We make a loss of about £700 a month.  One way to support us is through Amazon Smile which we have just set up. Another way is through give.net
